Province of Alberta Archives

Location: Edmonton, Alberta.

On this project, Brinsmead Kennedy Architecture worked closely with the Province of Alberta to assess the present and future needs of the organization, to evaluate the options for fulfilling those needs, and to design a facility that has become the permanent home of the Provincial Archives. This major retrofit and addition involved not only major climate controlled storage facilities with over eight kilometers of shelving and systems, but sophisticated preservation and treatment laboratory facilities.
